Sample Portfolio - Decorative Stitches - 27th February 2023

The Sample Portfolio workshops allow you to build up a file of techniques to refer to whenever you need them. When you attend the first workshop you will receive a file to start building your portfolio then add to it on each workshop. Workshops In this series include Zips, Seams, and Hems, Pockets, Collars and Cuffs, Dressmaking Techniques, Advanced Dressmaking Techniques, Tailoring Techniques, The Importance of Pressing, Machine Feet.

The sewing machines we use at home can do more than garment construction - using different stitches, threads, and needles you can create some lovely effects.

On this workshop, you will have the opportunity to play with twin & triple needles, double eye needles, hemstitch needles, and practice many creative effects to decorate your projects.

What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
