Sample Portfolio - Seam & Hem Finishes - 28th October 2024

The Sample Portfolio workshops allow you to build up a file of techniques to refer to whenever you need them. When you attend the first workshop you will receive a file to start building your portfolio and then add to it at each workshop. Workshops In this series include Zips, Seams and Hems, Pockets, Collars and Cuffs, Dressmaking Techniques, Advanced Dressmaking Techniques, Tailoring Techniques, Know Your Fabrics.

We often use the same seam and hem finish in garment construction but there are lots of alternatives, learn the techniques for finishing different types of fabrics and make samples to take home.

What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
