Sew-Along - The Half Slip - Starts 20th May 2021
While we are all at home I thought it would be nice to sew along together.
I also thought it might be a chance to try something a bit more challenging.
On recent Sew Alongs, there has been a lot of discussion about making a slip so I thought we should make one - starting with a classic half slip similar to the one pictured.
This can be made from a cupro lining fabric such as bremsilk or Venezia or silk satin.
This sew-along will take place on Zoom, I will send out the link to join the Sew-Along the day before.
Let's have fun and make a half-slip :)
Materials Needed: We will be creating our own pattern for this slip so you will need some pattern paper. For the fabric you will need the length of your finished slip plus 20cm for hems (as this slip does not have a split it is a good idea to make it above the knee) You will also need some Lingerie elastic and matching thread - I will also demonstrate how to add lace so you could purchase some of this too.
Before the Sew-Along: there are a few things you can prepare before the day of the Sew-Along. Gather your tools together, wind a bobbin and thread your machine. Pre-wash or steam your fabric.
