Sew-Along - Victory Patterns Trina Dress or Blouse - Starts 3rd June 2021

Sew Alongs started during Lockdown and proved to be a great way for us to get together and sew.  I have decided to keep them going when the Midhurst Sewing Room re-opens. 

TRINA is a classic wrap dress that features gathers above the bust and a cross-over front bodice that creates a deep V-neckline. The raglan sleeve transitions into a boxy, flowing shape. At the sides, the bodice front overlaps the back, allowing the tie to exit and wrap around the natural waist.

Version 1: Create a tunic with the hemline ending just below the hip. The tie in this version is made with a contrasting fabric.

Version 2: Create a dress with a hemline ending just below the knee. You may choose to line the skirt portion of this dress.

Light to mid-weight fabric with a soft drape, such as double gauze, voile, chiffon, georgette, charmeuse, crepe de chine, rayon challis.

Lining – compatible with fabric, such as bremsilk

This sew-along will take place on Zoom, I will send out the link to join the Sew-Along the day before.

Materials Needed: For fabric amounts check the back of the pattern in the picture on the left - you will also need matching threads.

Before the Sew-Along: there are a few things you can prepare before the day of the Sew-Along.  Gather your tools together, wind a bobbin and thread your machine, if you have a walking foot that would be helpful.  You could also thread up your overlocker if you have one.  Pre-wash or steam your fabric.  Roughly cut out your pattern pieces to separate them.
