Sewing with Silk - 15th September 2023

Sewing with silk can be tricky - in this workshop, you will learn how to deal with this difficult fabric and make some pretty lingerie.  Learn techniques for cutting out, and the correct seams and hems and if you would like to add lace then there are lots of tips to get the perfect finish.  You will also learn how to make those tiny rouleaux straps.

What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.

Materials Needed:  You will need 1.25 meters of 135cm wide silk satin and a matching thread.
