The Little Black Dress - 12th, 13th & 14th November 2021
The Little Black Dress is a classic that should last you for years - everyone should have one.
Using a classic style you can make a toile to test the fit and practice construction then start to make up your dress. Make French Seams and Hong Kong binding, insert an invisible zip and finish your beautiful LBD
The idea of the workshop is to make a classic go-to dress - usually, this would be a black dress but I understand if you would prefer another colour - blue, red - whichever you feel suits you.
The pattern I have chosen for this workshop (which is included in the workshop price) is Vogue 9202 - I have attached pictures of the front and back of the pattern so you can see how much fabric etc that you will need.
Again, if you have a dress pattern that you would prefer to use that is absolutely fine - it really is about making a classic dress that will go to year after year.
Interfacing, thread and other haberdashery will be available to purchase at the sewing room if you are unable to get things before the workshop.
If you are looking for lovely fabric I can recommend Bloomsbury Square Fabrics who are an online business based nearby, you can order fabric up to 48 hours before the workshop and have it delivered to the Sewing Room free of charge so it will be ready for you when you arrive.
The pattern is included in the workshop price
