The Quilted Coat - 9th, 10th & 11th November 2022

The Villanelle Coat sewing pattern from Vikisews is a semi-fitted, quilted, double-breasted coat with a straight silhouette. It can be made with raincoat fabric and insulated with 4-6oz wadding.

Diamond-shaped quilting is done on the front, back, and sleeve pieces.

The welt pockets, located below the waist, are placed over the side seams. Flaps are topstitched above the welts and cover the pocket openings.

The classic notched collar has a stand and rectangular-shaped lapels.

The coat has a dropped shoulder and set-in two-piece long sleeves decorated with a tab and button.

The coat can be cinched in at the waist with a tie belt that passes through two belt loops at the side seams and fastens with sew-on snaps.

What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
