Beginners Quilting Class

Learn different methods of quilting your fabulous patchwork blocks, from shadow stitching, stitch in the ditch, and using a walking foot with a quilters guide to create perfectly spaced grids, to free motion stippling, echo stitching and pebbles. You will make a variety of samples which can be kept for reference or stitched together for a mat or small quilt.

Materials required

• • 5 fat quarters of coordinating prints and colours OR 5 fabric pieces approx. 50 x 50cm.
  • 1 m of wadding (2 oz)
  • Twin Needle (80/12 with 2mm gap)
  • Decorative Machine Thread and contrast colour thread
  • Rotary cutter/mat and ruler
  • Good dressmaking shears
  • Marking pen/chalk pencil
  • Pins etc

What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
