Copy It, Make It - 17th & 18th July 2025
If you have a favourite garment that is wearing thin or no longer fits or a garment that you love but can no longer purchase then this is the workshop for you.
Bring along your garment and learn to copy it without taking it apart. Make your pattern then a toile and if there is time you can make a start on your finished replica garment. You will also be writing your own pattern instructions.
What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project. You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
Materials Needed: the garment you wish to copy - I would recommend something made from a woven fabric (not stretch or on the bias) and with a few details like darts. Fabric for your toile, calico or a similar weight fabric to your garment. Fabric for your finished garment in case there is time to make a start. Thread and notions.
