Introduction to Pattern Cutting Starts 10th April 2027
This workshop is an introduction to pattern cutting & design and will run over 2 weekends in April.
Using the Moulage technique, you will be able to start to design your own clothes or use what you learn to alter commercial patterns.
You will need a good understanding of dressmaking and construction to get the most from this course.
We will start by creating a moulage which is like second skin - this makes it easier to create a perfect fit. We will then add ease to make a blouse or dress. We will also draft a sleeve that will fit your garment and practice some basic design ideas in half scale.
Samples will be made at each stage to check fit.
