Sample Portfolio - Advanced Dressmaking Techniques - 20th January 2025

The Sample Portfolio workshops allow you to build up a file of techniques to refer to when ever you need them. When you attend the first workshop you will receive a file to start building your porfolio then add to it on each workshop. Workshops In this series include, Zips, Sames and Hems, Pockets, Collars and Cuffs, Dressmaking Techniques, Advanced Dressmaking Techniques, Tailoring Techniques.

Achieving a perfect finish for your garments often comes from the extra details used in construction.  On this workshop you will learn how to choose the correct fabric to interline for a couture finish, hand stitches couture hem finishes.  Lots of techniques to learn, with samples and notes to take home.

What You Need To Bring : The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
