Sample Portfolio - Fastenings - 3rd February 2025

The Sample Portfolio workshops allow you to build up a file of techniques to refer to whenever you need them. When you attend the first workshop you will receive a file to start building your portfolio then add to it on each workshop. Workshops In this series include Zips, Seams and Hems, Pockets, Collars and Cuffs, Dressmaking Techniques, Advanced Dressmaking Techniques, Tailoring Techniques, The Importance of Pressing, Machine Feet.

Choosing the correct fastening for a garment can make your garment more hand made than homemade.  Buttonholes, buttons, press studs and hooks will all be covered in this workshop.

What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
