Sample Portfolio - Machine Feet - 7th April 2025
The Sample Portfolio workshops allow you to build up a file of techniques to refer to whenever you need them. When you attend the first workshop you will receive a file to start building your portfolio and then add to it at each workshop. Your sewing machine will have arrived with basic machine feet but do you know what they all do? On this workshop, you will learn to identify the feet you have as well as see what else is available. With approximately 25 different feet to try you will learn how to cord, bead, pipe, try different feet for stitching straight lines, hemming and taming difficult fabrics as well as neatening edges and creating decorative stitches. Take home lots of samples and notes and never have trouble choosing the correct foot for your project again.
What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project. You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
