Sew-Along - The Aura Dress or Skirt - Starts 28th July 2021

Sew Alongs started during Lockdown and proved to be a great way for us to get together and sew.  I have decided to keep them going when the Midhurst Sewing Room re-opens. 

The Aura Dress by Papercut Patterns is a statement piece you can wear all year round.

This wrap style dress can be worn elegantly or casually featuring its captivating balloon sleeves. Even paired with a polo neck in the cooler weather. If you prefer you could make the wrap skirt variation, perfect to wear with some sneakers, a heel or a cute boot any day of the year

You will also need to purchase fabrics and matching thread

This sew-along will take place on Zoom, I will send out the link to join the Sew-Along the day before.

Materials Needed: For the dress you will need to purchase 3.25m of 150cm wide woven fabric, 1m of lightweight woven interfacing and matching thread

For the skirt you will need 2.2m of 150cm wide woven fabric, 90cm of lightweight woven fabric and matching thread.

Before the Sew-Along: there are a few things you can prepare before the day of the Sew-Along.  Gather your tools together, wind a bobbin and thread your machine, you could also thread up your overlocker if you have one.  Pre-wash or steam your fabric.  Roughly cut out your pattern pieces to separate them.
