Sew-Along - The Classic Shirt Dress Starts 17th March 2021

While we are all at home I thought it would be nice to sew along together.

This is a time to learn some new techniques and practice some trickier sewing

A shirt dress is a classic item for your wardrobe and there are lots of techniques to practice along the way. From French Seams & hem to collars, buttons & buttonholes.

The McCalls pattern is included in the cost of the Sew Along, to make sure I send you the correct pattern please let me know your bust, waist & hip measurements HERE

This sew-along will take place on Zoom, I will send out the link to join the Sew-Along the day before.

The perfect project if you would like to learn techniques for making the perfect shirt.

Week 1 - Deciding on the size, altering the pattern, cutting out & marking up

   Week 2 - Seams & Hems & buttonholes

Week 3 - The Perfect Collar

   Week 4 - Sleeves & finishing

Let's have fun and make a classic shirtdress :)

Materials Needed:  2.7m of 150cm wide woven fabric, 1.50cm woven fusible interfacing, 10-16x 13mm Buttons

Before the Sew-Along: there are a few things you can prepare before the day of the Sew-Along.  Gather your tools together, wind a bobbin and thread your machine.  You could also thread up your overlocker if you have one.  Pre-wash or steam your fabric.  Roughly cut out your pattern pieces to separate them.
