Sew-Along - The Closet Core Carolyn Pyjamas starts 22nd April 2021 FULLY BOOKED

While we are all at home I thought it would be nice to sew along together.

The perfect opportunity to learn a new technique like how to insert piping

Using the Carolyn Pyjama pattern by Closet Case Patterns you can choose to make your garment from light cotton or challenge yourself and choose silk.

Designed for chic lounging, the Carolyn Pyjamas are thoughtfully tailored with a modern, figure-flattering cut.

The Carolyn top features a classic notched collar, curved hem and breast pocket with three sleeve options. For a matching pyjama set, choose between a straight-legged pant (with or without cuff) or a cuffed short. Both pants and shorts feature an elasticized waist, pockets and a faux fly. Personalize Carolyn by adding contrasting piping details for an elegant finish.

The high fashion options are to make your pyjamas for day wear - the choice is yours

You will need to purchase your pattern here

This sew-along will take place on Zoom, I will send out the link to join the Sew-Along the day before.

Let's have fun and make some classic pyjamas :)

Materials Needed: To make the  Pyjamas with long sleeves and full-length trousers you will need to bring along 3.5m of 150cm wide (5.5m of 115cm wide) medium weight woven fabric, 90cm of lightweight woven interfacing, 5 x 10-15mm buttons, 3.8cm wide elastic and matching threads.  If you would like to pipe your pyjamas you will need 5m of bias binding and a narrow piping cord.

Before the Sew-Along: there are a few things you can prepare before the day of the Sew-Along.  Gather your tools together, wind a bobbin and thread your machine.  You could also thread up your overlocker if you have one.  Pre-wash or steam your fabric.  Roughly cut out your pattern pieces to separate them.
