The Sewing Room pressing tools are handmade in England.  Made from hardwoods from sustainably managed woodlands.

This piece is made from American Ash

No finishing materials are used, which might stain fabric, just natural wood.

It is possible that the grain in the wood could be raised by steam from an iron or damage in which case the use of some medium to fine sandpaper will fix it
