The Dressmaker's Portfolio Level 3 - Starts 6th April 2022 DEPOSIT
The Dressmaker’s Portfolio Level 3 is a three-month introduction to pattern cutting & design where students will learn the skills needed to start to design and create a handmade wardrobe.
Last year's pandemic meant that this course was postponed twice, so to give those previously booked on and others who might like to join I have redesigned the course. As with Level 1&2 there would usually be tutorials and workshop days included but I have reduced the course to just the 9 tutorial days but you will have 10% discount off any workshop you book during the course.
This course is a chance to build a portfolio of samples that can be used to start designing & creating your handmade wardrobe.
Based on the Moulage technique which I learned from Kenneth D King in New York, you will be able to start to design your own clothes or use what you learn to alter commercial patterns, you do not have to complete previous levels to take this course but you will need a good understanding of dressmaking and construction
One project will be set to be completed during the 3 months – either 1 garment designed from scratch or 2 co-ordinating garments created using pattern cutting skills to alter/add to the design of a commercial pattern
