The Luxury Dressing Gown - 15th & 16th November 2024
A dressing gown can seem like a simple garment but it's the luxury details that you add which will make all the difference. Choose a beautiful fabric - it could be cotton, brocade, silk or even wool. It can be lined in soft silk or cotton or unlined with all the seams bound. Add piping around the shawl collar and a wide belt and internal tie - you could also add a quilted fabric to the collar.
The pattern for the shawl collar robe will be included in the workshop price.
What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project. You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
Materials Needed: To make the dressing gown you will need 4m of 150cm wide fabric, if you are lining your garment you will need the same in a lining fabric. For unlined you will need bias binding, insertion piping cord will be needed for edge details.
You will also need 1.5m of woven interfacing and matching threads
