The Maker's Atelier - Raw Edge Coat 13th March 2022
The Essential Collection - Sewing with Style from The Maker's Atelier includes some beautiful patterns, all with variations. In this workshop, you can choose to make any variation of this coat, long or short, wool, or even leather. You could choose to make your jacket with Linen and make a facing to finish the raw edges.
Lots of techniques to learn, tracing a pattern, selecting your size, and construction including lots of tips for working with your chosen fabric.
What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project. You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
Materials Needed: Your copy of The Maker's Atelier Essential Collection by Frances Tobin or the Raw Edge Coat Pattern - you can purchase the pattern The Maker's Atelier
You will also need fabric and matching thread.
Interfacing, thread and other haberdashery is available to purchase at the sewing room if you are unable to get things before the workshop.
If you are looking for lovely fabric I can recommend Bloomsbury Square Fabrics who are an online business based nearby, you can order fabric up to 48 hours before the workshop and have it delivered to the Sewing Room free of charge so it will be ready for you when you arrive.
