The Wrap Skirt - 11th January 2025

Sew a quick & easy skirt using the Ultimate Wrap Skirt sewing pattern from Sew Over It.

This workshop is perfect for all levels of sewing experience whether you are a complete beginner or more experienced but looking for a quick make.

This simple skirt comes with two length options, midi or knee-length, and features a waistband with ties. With no tricky closures, one of the ties feeds through a gap in the waistband to create a secure wrap tied at the waist. This makes the Ultimate Wrap Skirt easy to sew and easy to fit, as you can adjust the tightness of the ties to get the right fit for you.

This skirt would look great with a t-shirt and sandals or trainers for a casual everyday look, or pop on some heels to dress it up.

For beginners, we recommend using a light cotton lawn or if you are more experienced, viscose or crepe fabrics are perfect to give this skirt plenty of swish!

The pattern for the skirt will be included in the workshop price.

What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project. You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.

Materials Needed: To make the wrap skirt you will need

Calf length - 2.9m of 150cm wide fabric, 

Knee length - 2.5m of 150m wide fabric

You will also need 1m of lightweight woven interfacing, matching thread - Interfacings and threads can be purchased in the Sewing Room on the day of the workshop
