TR Origami Heart Drape on a Full Bodice - 24th August 2024

We are very happy that Claudette Joseph, who is a 5 times TR Cutting Super Master, is coming back to the Sewing Room to run a workshop using Origami TR Cutting.

TR Origami Heart Drape on a Full Bodice

This one-day workshop will instruct you practically in this origami skill.  You will draft a full size working pattern and construct the piece in fabric as your personal reference sample.

This technique is one of the origami skills that incorporate draping to create secured folds within a decorative shape while still training the original fit.

We Look forward to seeing your fabulous pieces after this workshop......the creativity will be endless.

What You Need To Bring: The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project.  You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.

Materials Needed: 1.5m of lightweight fabric (crepe, cotton, lightweight denim, calico etc) Note: it is sometimes nice to pay with pints, stipes etc to get some interesting results.
