Closet Case - Kalle Shirt Shirt -7th September 2019
With a loose, body-skimming silhouette and a number of interchangeable features, the Kalle Shirt s is the ultimate in chic, easy dressing.
Choose a cropped style with a wide-faced hem or a tunic length inspired by classic men's oxfords. Both versions feature a subtly curved yoke, short dolman sleeves with arm cuffs, and a dramatically shaped hem.
Personalize your Kalle with a standard or band collar, an optional breast pocket, an inverted or box pleat, and button, popover or hidden placket.

What You Need To Bring : The Sewing Room is fully equipped with Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers as well as all the tools you need to complete your project. You are very welcome to bring your own machine and sewing box if you wish.
Materials Needed : To make the Kalle Shirt you will need:
For the short version 2m of of 150cm wide woven fabric, 5 x 1.3cm buttons, 30cm woven fusible interfacine and matching thead.
For the Tunic length you will need 2.5m of 150cm wide woven fabric, 8 x 1.3cm buttons, 30cm woven fusible interfacing and matching thread.
Bring along your own materials or purchase from Bloomsbury Square Fabrics which is next to the Sewing Room. If you are buying fabrics on the day please arrive at least half an hour before the class starts to allow time to choose. Alternatively order fabric in advance, have it sent to you or collect on the day of the class.
