September Sewing
I hope you had a lovely Summer, there have been lots of workshops here at The Midhurst Sewing Room with some fabulous garments being made
As we head into Autumn there are lots of Workshops coming up. In September there are a spaces on this weekend's Kalle Shirt workshop using the fab pattern from Closet Case Patterns, choose from 3 styles and learn lots of techniques while making this great shirt
On the 20th September learn the Couture Techniques used when making garments like the Chanel style jacket and how to work with tricky fabrics like Linton Tweed. A great introduction into the world of Couture Sewing.
The lovely Sue Cotten will be returning to teach workshops which include bags, applique and machine embroidery, click on the pictures below for more details
A space has become available on the popular Sewing with Silk workshop at the end of October, if you would like to learn how to work with this tricky fabric and make a lovely camisole click on the pictures below for more details
In November we have a few spaces on our West Country Retreat at the lovely Dartington Hall Hotel, join us for 3 days of Sewing & Socialising in beautiful Devon, as well as lots of sewing there will be visits to Stone Fabrics and dinners and Riverford Kitchen and The Waterside Bistro in Totnes. We will also be joined by guest speaker Jamie Kemp of Male Devon Sewing who will be telling us his Sewing Story and his experience on The Great British Sewing Bee in 2016. Jamie will also be demonstrating how to make hand stitched buttonholes

Finally, I have added a new workshop in December - come along for a fun few hours and make Knickers - perfect as gifts or for yourself, learn to works with stretch lace and apply elastic and trims, on this workshop you will make two pairs of lovely knickers
