New Bag Making & Couture Workshops

The new website is up and running (after a couple of delays)  please do have a look and let me know what you think.

There are some new workshops to inspire you, The lovely Sue Cotten returns to the Sewing Room with 4 new workshops.

The Project Bag - a lovely big bag perfect for bringing your sewing projects to classes

The Utility Apron - a practical apron to wear in the Sewing Room or in the garden, it has lots of pockets including one with a zip so plenty of places to keep bits and pieces.

The Linton & Leather Bag - a great stash buster using small pieces of tweed and leather this is a really great bag made using Sue's own pattern.

The Quilted Bag - this is the most advanced of Sue's bag workshops - as there are so many techniques to learn this bag will be made over 4 evenings - lots of time to make this beautiful bag.

All these fab bags are perfect to make for your self or maybe as a gift

If, like me, you have a small stash of lovely Linton Tweed now could be the time to make it up.  As we had to cancel our West Country Retreat I thought I would put in a Couture Skirt Workshop.  On this three day workshop, you will learn how to work with this tricky fabric, stabilise it with Silk Organza, add a lining and hand-stitched zip.  We will use the pattern by Susan Khalje which has no seam allowances or instructions - perfect for this workshop.  For more details click on the picture below
